ArtEdWA Created this prize to establish the direct connection between The West Australian Pulse to the Visual Arts Curriculum, reinforcing the relevance of classroom learning and support curriculum alignment.

We wanted to elevate the role of arts education by emphasising the importance of visual arts education in fostering creativity, critical thinking, and personal expression. To spotlight the artistic work undertaken by students, under teachers’ guidance, showcasing the impact of visual arts education and mentorship.

As well as to promote professional pathways, providing students with exposure to creative industries and to showcase confidence, craftsmanship and in challenging artistic conventions.

Freya Received $2500 to put towards achieving her future goals as well as acknowledgement for her dedication and hard work through AGWA and ArtEdWA.

We look forward to seeing how far you go Freya! Good Luck!!
